Niweskok Canning Workshop

For Wabanaki and their family

Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th

12 PM to 4 PM each day (or until we’re done)

Sockalexis Arena, 12 Wabanaki Way, Indian Island

We’ve got both pressure canning and hot water bath canning sessions lined up, and it’s all about preserving this season’s veggies grown by Mawiomi Garden, a Mi'kmaq family farm, and shared in collaboration with Bomazeen Land Trust 🌱🥔🌱

The agenda is casual so come drop in for a bit or stay the day! We are bringing the jars and the veggies—just bring yourself and take home some fresh canned goods to share with your family! It’s a great opportunity to learn, share knowledge if you're already a canning pro, and connect with community.
